Anyone see the movie "The Help"?

I've been saying to myself this morning, "You is kind, you is smart, you is important!" It calms me and makes me feel good.

It's exactly the message I never got growing up.

So I am telling myself that now.

Haven't seen it but it reminds me of Al Franken's Stuart: "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me."

I love that movie. and I love that message. like you I haven't really heard that coming up and now that I have kids of my own I have to remind myself not to repeat the pattern. hugs and hope.
