Rose6844, I am the wife of an acoa. We have been married for 25 years.
I would like to caution yourself and your husband against fixing others. Two and a half years ago, my codependent acoa husband did just that, however, the person he wanted to help/fix, turned out to be extremely manipulative and dysfunctional and she caused the breakdown of our marriage.
We're still together. But sometimes, I feel we are now broken.
So look after yourself, your husband and your children, and let everyone else deal with their own problems the best way they can.
