Getting started...
 

While I've been a member for 2.5 years, I've only just gotten healthy enough to really begin my recovery journey in a focused way.

I am here now due to a series of crises - marital difficulties including spousal infidelity, child molestation of one of my kids by a family member, and huge child custody and visitation difficulties - that have pushed me to the absolute limit... which, in turn, helped me to finally get here (as much as I would have preferred for this past year to have not included all these things).

I am looking forward to finding a healthier, happier place for me. I've even bought a ring with my birthstone in it flanked by pave stones to wear on my left ring finger to remind myself that I am in a committed relationship with me. Next step, ACA meetings.

@DesertEyes - I've been over the stickys a number of times over the last 2.5 years. They have been a good touchstone for me and continue to be, especially now as I begin to work my recovery in a focused way.
