Have to say this article hit home.
JW Abuse case
They have been so good at keeping people quiet and brainwashed.
By the time you get out...you are just...so thankful to get out. You want away. As far as you can get. Nothing to do with it anymore. Like any abuse case. Wash your hands. Run.
More likely than not, the punitive damages won't hold, but hopefully this will give courage to some other JW children and adults who were in the same scenario (any abusive situation) to come out.
I wish I had. I really wish I had.
I am just thankful our family (my mom, my brother and myself) got out with our lives, our health...each other.
