needing to be needed
It used to be a comfortable, albeit lonely and painful place, b/c it was all I knew.
Even if the feeling is bad, it is what we know so it is comfortable. Believe me knowing in my heart that my SO wants to be with me is not always easy for me to believe. I have that voice in my head too. It takes practice we have to tell ourselves the opposite of the voice.
Did you happen to see Dr. Phil on Monday. I saw the last half of it and he was telling the people when they have a negative thought, to pick up their journal and write a positive thought the oppposite of the negative. makes so much sense.
This is a process for all of us and sharing it like we do makes it easier for me.
Thanks.
