Amusing from the Outside
If you do decide to order the new ACA handbook and/or Workbook, it is important -
for adult children more than any other recovering person
- to make sure, as I neglected to do, that the package is not accidentally shipped to your PARENTS' house.

Absent, you just taught me what it felt like to cringe, laugh, and groan all at the same time.
I'm so sorry.
But hey.....perhaps there will be an interesting consequence to this. Who's to say?
Best to you

It has to be said that a person with only 8 posts needs to be told the universal message board ground rules. Warnings must be made so that liquid beverages are not SPIT ALL OVER THE MONITOR!
You could always say that you ordered them for a friend...
HUGS!

Consequences: Getting to provide some small entertainment to like-minded souls
Damage control: "Oh, those are some school books I ordered [for my graduate psych program] - ACA is 'American Counseling Association.'"
But it does make me think about what sort of sign the universe is trying to send me... and hope that I figure it out before an even bigger sign is dropped on my head.

Sorry, I laughed!
If that happened to me, my mother would think I was mentally ill and trying to blame her, for which she would deny any involvement in my illness. She would think I was scheming. She is full of paranoia so I could only imagine what she would think.
One thing I do know is she would NEVER admit she had a problem, at least to me.
Can you believe this? She's an old timer in AA too. But, what she says there, and how she acts with those people is totally different that when she is around me. It's like she puts on a show for the AA groups.
Strange, huh?
