Going Up?
Going Up?
Well, we've all heard it said I'm sure, "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear."
After 7 years in CODA and ACA, I met and married the woman of my dreams (also long time recovery.) Like a typical ACA who knows better, I have relaxed into the relationship for the past 9+ years and ratherly casually laid most of my recovery tools aside.
It has taken these 9 years for the old issues to rear their ugly heads and threaten to suck us both under.
In an attempt to get the rust off the recovery tools , I went online looking for current local ACA meetings, and what should pop up but this newly established forum!
What a Godsend!
It's like climbing on the recovery elevator at the ground floor all over again and pushing a button on the wall labeled "Hope"
Going up, anybody?

Welcome,
I like the way you put that.
After about 7 years in Alanon I did the very same thing and it took not all that much time for the old ways to return. I struggled for a while, not quite getting it when lo and behold I realized that I needed to get "it" back. I too went on line and found this wonderful forum and with the help of all of these people I now exceeded where I was before.
My higher power led me here in a anticipation of events that I had no idea were about to unfold. I thank Him for that.
Welcome! I look forward to getting to know you!
Hugs,
JT
