Early days are tough, but things get better. Yeah, you just do it one day at a time, but if you get around to working some kind of program you get fewer bad days until you're pretty much like anybody.
I can't help but feel you're lucky. I paid a lot of dues for years, and even though I've been sober a long time, it would be great to be coming out of high school. 15 years of drinking and using around a lot of other problems really take it out of you, and you don't recover as well as you would if you did earlier.
