Thank you for that post. It brought to mind how do I make it up to my children that I did use money or a gift of some kind while I was distant as a substitute as in my absence I could recognise my failings but not rise above them. I can’t seem to be able to resolve that today in any way except hoping and trusting that in time my continued presence will do.
