I’m with Dee. Most Therapist/psychiatrist will give a consult, at low cost at least in US, and you can have that interview. The fit should be good on both sides.
If you can reach your old Dr (pun intended🤓, can you ask him based on his experience with you, who in your area would be a good fit?
