The meds change the body chemistry to the extent that once I get on them, I am on them for life.

My Doc said my lisonpril is for life.

Might be the case for you?

I imagine if what you are taking now is not working/making things worse a change is in order.

Mixing booze and meds is a serious issue. I heard the recovery is another level of hell on earth.

It takes a month or so of suffering to get a new habit of not drinking.

15 years of meds mixed with drinking is a tough habit to kick.

Nobody knows what you are really feeling but you and your Dr

I vote don't drink it will only make everything worse.

In my first year or 2 clean, I substituted food for booze when I craved. It got me this far.

Now I am changing my lifestyle to control my eating. I am not on a diet, I simply don't eat all the time any more. If I could quit drinking for the last 5 years, i can do anything.

My stomach is growling right now, but I am fine. We are going out to eat tonight and I will enjoy dinner then.

I want to control my weight from 230 down to 200. I plan to maintain below 200 for the rest of my life.

Thanks.
