It starts by putting down the drink. I'm not trying to be snarky, but that's how sobriety starts, with not drinking. If you are waiting to be ready to quit, you may wait a while. If you are waiting for it to be easy, you might wait a while. If you are waiting to solve all your issues that cause you to drink before you quit, you are putting the cart before the horse.
