This is a symptom of alcoholism, BanAlcohol. Normal drinkers don't look at alcohol this way nor do they have trouble "getting off it." They just simply have a couple with dinner or something every once in a while.
You're not alone. I can't stop once I start either. I'm an alcoholic and bad things happen to me if I drink.
