I don't think I've ever heard the word knarky before, that's a weird one. Gittery I sorta halfway recognize despite being seeming fairly strange to me as well. Probably non-American type words, that's my theory.
Yeah, you don't have to drink when those stray thoughts appear in your mind, thoughts come and go and most are often nothing really, dime a dozen. Say to yourself "there's a silly idea" etc.
