gtting sober was the hardest thing ive ever done-harder than fighting cancer. the mental obsession was a bugger but i did what i was told -went to meetings,read the bb, prayed like crazy,
worked the steps, didnt drink even when my ass was falling off,repeat.
staying sober has been easy.
there were days in early recovery that one day at a time was too long so i took it down to one hour at a time.
some hours were too long so i took it down to one minute at a time.
some minutes were too long so i took it down to one second at a time.
im comin up on 14 years and that may seem like a long time but 13 days is an eternity-
