Tomorrow is the ten year anniversary of my last break up - a violent, horrific one that I wasn’t sure I’d live to see the end of. It made me declare I would never celebrate the day again, and I haven’t. It’s my fourth Valentine’s Day in my current relationship and we treat it like any other day.
That break up date means freedom to me in a similar way that my sobriety date does.
