Thank you, FBL, for sharing the news of Kathy’s passing. I had not heard. Grateful too she is free of suffering. Everything I post below seems so trivial but to carry on in kindness here goes...

Grateful that it is not very long before buds appear on trees that it seems impossible to believe are not dead in their barren and denuded winter state.
Grateful for the endless amusement my little kitty can derive from a ponytail holder. These are his playthings. He will flip one around in his paw, then stare it for a long time like a mortal enemy, then pounce again and again.
Grateful that I did not set an alarm clock this morning and just slept.
Grateful for this life, for each breath, for the people who cross my path while I am here, including each of you and most especially Gilmer.
