If sober Saturday morning never gets old then sober Sunday is the dividend paid by sober Saturday.

It works that way.

Zoey, please don't leave. As a matter of fact I would suggest typing out the entire drinking event that you just had. Doesn't have to be here or anywhere other than for yourself. I encourage you to delve into it deeply. It was good for me to purge a lot of negative stuff when I quit. I journalled and I posted on this site - a lot.

What were you allowing yourself to dwell on just before you drank?

What did you say to yourself to rationalize it/justify it? I mean, once I made a decision to never drink again having a drink is a straight-up betrayal of my own promise to myself. I'm strongly committed to seeing that through. I've done enough self-sabotage to last me a lifetime!

I was done when I stopped. Nothing left back there for me to learn from alcohol. There is an imaginary four inch thick piece of plexiglass between my fingers and any alcohol.

That's the only way to keep me safe.
