My brother in law is going to have a long road ahead. He had prostate cancer surgery at 44. The surgeon had to "go wide" so they had to take out different bits and pieces. He has to go through different phases of readjusting to life... nappies and so forth.
My older brother is sober a few weeks now. He basically walks out of detox and dissappears for weeks. He moved home to my mom's house. He doesn't answer the phone to me anymore. I'm not sure why. He just lives from day to day on social welfare. I have to cut my ties with him.
