Hi, Hawking!
From 2007 to this past December I took a course at a time in school. I finished my Bachelors at age 53, and got just over halfway through my Masters.
I dropped out because my life took a different but equally gratifying turn.
I felt an internal nudge to spend more time with the people in my life. Amazingly, even though I’ve always been an introvert, relationships with both family and friends have really deepened during this new season of life.
Time spent with them has really taken up the bulk of my time recently.
Without the maturity that has come from my sobriety journey, there is no way I would have been open to anything but sheer selfishness.
