Oh, and yesterday on my walk on the berry patch trail I asked a man with a fitness tracker how long the walk was from X to X. My walk is five miles of big hills. Yesterday it wiped me out in the heat. I kept eating handfuls of berries, though. Energy - that was my story.
He told me that last week a bear crossed the trail a ways up from him when he was there! So!
Bear week Part ll.
Also, I saw (and got to hear it calling) a Sharp Shinned Hawk. That was a first for me. It even flew right across the trail at eye level.
