My Brain- A Cat With Sharp Teeth who Purrs

Hope this isn't redundant. It keeps going around in my brain. Like this evening I found myself suddenly thinking, "My brain! It's my best friend and my worst enemy." I have been ruminating over last years September National Geographic article, The Science of Addiction, beginning on p. 30 (available on the internet) and the July 2018 issue on Sleep. Some of the bad stuff is in the Subconscious. We have no control over that. Booze and substance abuse lowered my ability to take advantage of the good stuff. Religious folk refer to that as the "soul". The recent National Geographic Sleep article describes the human mind as possibly the most complex thing in the entire universe, a statement which in all likelihood can never be known , can never be proved. A statement devoid of anything but emotional value.
Why do I say this? Because recovery would not have been possible without focussing on my Addictive Voice (AV)
