I'm in!
Been a while since I was "in" on a Thursday.
Life is busy, but pretty good.
Still dealing with my dad's estate, and that has me pretty stressed out, in general. I'll be going to Chicago next weekend to supervise the hauling and removal company I hired to take care of everything that's still in his apartment after selling and giving away most of what's worthwhile. I have a very interested buyer, who I am waiting on for a counter-offer. I'm doing this without a broker, but I have a lawyer who is experienced in these things. Thank goodness, because I have only bought one house and I have never sold one. When the sale is complete I will be DONE dealing with all of this. It's a lot of work. It has taught me important lessons, though. Like, how to structure my estate for my kids and the importance of keeping financial affairs in better order than my dad did. It's kind of a mess.
