Can't sleep... kind of dreading tomorrow. I'm not really close to anyone at the wedding except the host. It's my boyfriend's aunt and we are mostly going to be supportive of her and help her if she needs it, since it's at her beautiful home and she's expecting drunk people. Especially since she just treated us to a lovely trip to Oregon, we decided we should be there.

But how does one in early recovery have FUN at an event like this? I don't want to be miserable, I want to be happy for them and cheers their love with my sparkling juice but when you know the husband (bf's distant cousin) is hiding a coke problem and not hiding an alcohol problem... Ugh I don't even know. Maybe asking to have fun is too much. Maybe just surviving it and being present and as helpful as possible is enough.
You might be surprised love....I have a feeling you are going to enjoy being there for your BF's aunt and I bet the fun comes from laughing yourself silly inside when you see what FOOLS some drunk people....and people on coke.....make of themselves at weddings. What a great feeling to be the one that helps escort such embarrassments to taxis and such.....what a fantastic feeling to go to a wedding and then go home get changed and take a lovely walk because you are sober and full of energy....

Take pictures maybe....be an unofficial photographer if you need something to do other than hold your fruit juice....also....another tip....fruit juice does not quench your thirst....go for more water and flavoured mineral water.

Okey dokey....I am AWAKE this morning.
