Relapsing is a part of this sick and twisted life of alcoholism. Thinking of quitting is a healthy step in the right direction, and we have all been there and done it numerous times. A severe panic attack was the key to my sobriety. I used alcohol to suppress the edge, but later found out from counseling that I was only making it worse. I still find myself anxious, but my life without alcohol is 100 times better. Filling the voids that alcohol fills with healthy hobbies and activities is important. The storm doesn't last forever.
