To reduce my sugar intake I began drinking 20 ounces of carrot juice with strawberries or beet juice every morning. Sometimes I add turmeric. Low glycemic and nutrient dense - which curbs sugar cravings.

Also, I've switched to decaf coffee with an extra shot to still enjoy the coffee taste.
