Hi ticktock , by the description he sounds like me and yes I’m an alcoholic. People usually don’t go to an AA meeting by mistake. It’s hard for him thinking “ this time it will be different , setting limits , trying to control his drinking and just blowing right thru them . Been there done that. Hopefully it clicks for him.
