I had pretty much the same situation as you waxfruit, especially the not sleeping and sweating, but on the other hand there are some positives from going to work. It gave me a break from being with my own thoughts all the time, it was when I was on my own that my AV would get its claws in and tell me that I "needed" a drink. Also it often happens that problem drinkers decide to quit after losing their job meaning they have to deal with that on too of everything else.

I realise I have not been able to give you any practicle advice but sometimes we forget the positives. Quitting booze is the best thing we can ever do for ourselves so try to keep it in mind that it will not be this bad for long.
