I can confirm that Mr. X is set to retire late next year when he reaches his 65th birthday. I have become quite fond of him as my line manager told me he is a gentleman, and to be fair he has never once raised his voice or shouted at me in any way, even if I made a mistake and I’ve made a fair few of those to be honest. He does get in bad form occasionally but we all have our ups and downs. The counselor I see is also affiliated with the hospital and sometimes he asks me “what’s your consultant like? Is he very difficult?” I was like “not at all”. My counselor said “oh good I’m glad because I travel over to your side a few times a week and the Emergency Department is always like a war zone and I’ve heard stories about consultants throwing things”. I was like “ok if you mean a stapler or something I’ve never seen or heard of it.”

Anyway at least I have a job to return to in January, I will still be broke but at least I will be doing something
