I am 19 mo sober and as Anna suggested, have tools I have learned to deal with my anxiety - I also have had an rx for ativan (lorazepam) since I quit drinking, and I do use it. It is 10mg up to 3x a day. I am completely honest with my therapist, careful about how I take the pills and always have some leftover at the end of the month. For me, meds I need are absolutely OK and are a complement to my AA program and support my sobriety.
Hi, if I was on a maintenance dose 30mg Ativan per day I would develop tolerance in a few weeks/months . Forgive me but if this is daily long term I would want to taper this down . Ativan screwed me up years ago .
