I take 2mg Valium daily as prescribed by my psychiatrist. My intent is to come off it entirely, but must say that it has been difficult for me to stop altogether even at such a small dose.

I think some people are more sensitive than others when it comes to ANY drugs, hence my difficulty in stopping at 2mg?

I do not see the taking of the 2mg as "breaking my sobriety date", nor as "alcohol in a pill" if taken therapeutically. I would far prefer to take 2mg Valium than to drink. Just my opinion. To each her/his own. Horses for courses

Naturally the advices given on CBT and other methods of reduducing anxiety are good and better, but sometimes a 'reprieve' is needed. Just remain aware of its addictability, if that's a word
