Glad you posted!

I am a big reader too and, especially in early sobriety (well, earlier- I still consider it early at 18 mo), found books on recovery really helpful and also time-consuming which was a good thing.

Caroline Knapp's book is excellent and my copy is well worn with many reads. I'd also suggest either of Patrick Kennedy's books, Blackout by Sarah Hepola (this was very much like my drinking experience and we are close in age so it resonated greatly), Out of the Wreck I Rise (a more literary book but simply excellent), and AA-approved books like Living Sober, and Your First Year of Sobriety.

I also started reading devotionals by Richard Rohr of the CAC (a Friar who often has very 12-step connected messages)- you can get daily, weekly or monthly emails. Reading the daily one is part of my morning recovery program.

Do you have a copy of the Big Book? That's some of the best material we can use

Hope to see you around here.
