My kids and I watched this really interesting thing on TV yesterday about how animals don't see the full range of colours like we do. Apparently they can't see red and green. After it finished, my youngest asked, "mummy, what do you think is a cat's favourite colour?" I thought about it for a while and based on what we'd just learned I said that I thought a cat's favourite colour is brown because it can see the colour brown and the mice it chases are brown and the tree trunks it climbs are brown.
My youngest replied, "wrong!! A cat's favourite colour is purrrrrrple!"
