I've been the -on again-off again- pattern for the last year.
This time, I'm doing a couple things differently.

1) I'm going to work the steps more closely.
2) I'm going to avoid work related situations where it is implied that I will drink.
3) I'm going to avoid people, places, things and occasions where I would be at risk of drinking.
4) Take it one day at a time.
5) Fill my spare time with extra-curricular activities so that I don't have time to think about going to a bar.
6) Work on my home relationships better so that I don't feel pressure to "go out".
7) Try to check -in more regularly.
8) Add to this list as I discover other things that help the process move forward.
