i hope you didnt think 1 meeting was going to change anything- 1 meeting would remove the mental obsession.
going to meetings and not drinking dont treat alcoholism.

Here are the steps we took, which are suggested as a program of recovery.
there IS hope for you,SC, but ya gotta do the work. theres no magical pill. no magical sober dust. no magical things a therapist can do even to get a person sober.
its our responsibility to take accountability for our own actions that help us to recover. AA can teach me. a therapist can listen and give me suggestions.
but im responsible for doing the action.
what were your thoughts on rehab?
