Force yourself to get ready

I have found that when I force myself to set an alarm and get ready for the day(even if I have nothing to do for that day) that my overall mood is better and that it is a lot easier to get things done and be productive.

You do not find recovery by just being sober, you need to work on bettering yourself EVERY SINGLE DAY. I have found that for me personally waking up early, making my bed, keeping the house clean and organized, making To Do lists, and staying connected with others (even when all I want to do is hibernate and avoid the world) has made a huge difference in my mood, quality of life, and how secure I feel in my recovery. I try to volunteer every week and make sure that I do not isolate myself and I set at least one goal to meet everyday and have found that the more I do, the better I feel mentally and physically. Even if reaching out is out of your comfort zone (it def. was for me) you will be glad you did in the long run. You do not have to go through this alone!

Nothing changes if nothing changes.. so bring on the changes!
