I did it, I went right instead of left and got home safe, and was even rewarded with my own personal technicolor lights show all the way home.
First, because I took that other road, which I avoid because it's so windy and dark, I was greeted by billions of lightning bugs, it was so pretty, I even cut my headlights (it wasn't pitch dark yet) for a moment to see them better lol
Second, there were several fireworks shows in progress as I drove home, a couple of which had launch points mere feet from the side of the road I was on, so that was neat, very loud, very bright and right above me.
Thirdly, flashing red, white and blues, police cars, likely pulling over drunk people, and I was just smiling that it wasn't me!
I saw fireworks when I got in to my car, on my way home, and when I got out of my car. And, what was cute, the song Fireflies came on the radio just as I pulled up outside my house.
