I can relate to religious people and Judgement. I lived in the fishbowl of a Church family under a microscope for a long time.
IMO: God created musicians to write symphonies. God created farmers to nourish our bodies. God created doctors to help us when we suffer. He gave us all special, unique gifts.
As someone who has GAD & PTSD, I empathize with your feelings.
Do you think God would want you to hurt? The God of my understanding is a merciful, loving God who would never want that for any of us.
You can go directly to Him. Sometimes, even His very faithful flock go awry.
Sometimes people know not of what they speak. No doubt, that laying hands and speaking in tongues may produce results. But if in the interim, if God's busy working miracles elsewhere, I would put some faith into your doctor. The very one God created and made smart enough to graduate Med. school, to help you out. You are only obliged to answer to Him, not mere mortals.
