I have a trusted friend who is 9 years sober and I have asked him to be my sobriety mentor. We check in by phone and email a few times a week and we are meeting up next week. He is someone I truly admire; he is very knowledgeable and intelligent and he has walked the walk. I feel privileged to have his mentorship and my recovery journey will be all the better as a result of his support.
