My guess is that they will think it's a good thing...because you would most likely be dead if you would have kept drinking. I'm very glad you got help at the hospital and that you were able to recover. Think for a minute how utterly ridiculous your statement above sounds though.....you barely escape death by alcohol but you worry what others might think about you stopping? Addiction is horrifically good at lying to us sometimes.
Very glad to hear that you are seeing an addiction counselor....they can really help. Hope you can get some rest and gain your strength back too.
