I think I am different from a good many of the posters on this thread.

For me, being a recovering alcoholic and going to whatever lengths it takes to protect and preserve my sobriety is the most important part of everyday for me.

I don't take a day off.

I don't wish I was different.

I deal with what I have and address it the way that has worked successfully for a good while now.

I try to work the AA steps everyday, I get involved in recovery outreach (12 Step work) and I pray to God hard everyday to learn and do His will.

I am perfectly okay with being a recovering drunk every day.

It's just the way things are for me.

I don't preach it to others, but I sure do it for myself.

This is just my ESH, other peoples mileage may vary.
