Hi Pete! Welcome. I think most of us are here because we are all or nothing people. One sip and before you know it you have finished the bottle or the case of beer. I used to wish I could be a "normal" drinker but then I saw a post that made sense. There are no normal drinkers ...they are at the beginning before the obsession kicks in. Hope you hang in there.
