My question: does any one out here have a good, regular excuse you've ever used for why you can't drink?
What I've discovered in 25 years of recovery is non-alcoholics don't care, don't notice, if I order club soda. The only people who asked why I wasn't drinking were Europeans and alcoholics/heavy drinkers. So I order Pellegrino or Perrier if I'm at a restaurant or bar and never offer an explanation.
