My wife went grocery shopping today. She also bought beer, 2 bottles of Baileys, a bottle of wine, vodka and bloody mary mix. She is all set for the 4 day holiday weekend.
Today I am 30 days sober and it may get a little tough dealing with her once she gets loaded; but I can't stop her from drinking and enjoying her holiday.
When I quit drinking for 4 months back in 2013 I constantly bitched when she drank; and it nearly ended our marriage. She was going to do what she wanted and felt I had no right to tell her not to drink just because I quit.
Part of the reason my sobriety ended in 2013 was because I wanted to save my marriage - as sick as that sounds.
I do not know how things will play out this time - I do not want to fall back into the life of alcoholism and I am not going to say a word about her drinking.
