Isn't it bewildering how things start coming back to us after we stop drinking? I'm having trouble remembering much of 2 years of my life. Then bits and pieces start filtering back in or coming back in a rush. It can get scary.
I'm glad that this hasn't happened to you again. Let's hope we all do so well so that we don't have to go through it again, as you aptly said yourself.
