least posts this and I love the statement- want to be sober more than wanting to drink. that, along with willing to do whatever necessary- willing to go to any lengths- were what helped me.
personally I didn't just want to not drink. I wanted to stop feeling like a useless,worthless,hopeless,helpless POS. I didn't want to hate myself and be living in a crapton of self pity.

there are a lot of people here who have gotten sober without spousal support and with spouses that continued drinking.
you can,too, if ya WANT sobriety.
