I do think maybe if you want a corner to yourself on days like this, maybe a blog entry might be better? That way noones experience will be invalidated.
It's kinda hard to express your thoughts on a 'parents based holiday' without others feeling you're passing judgement on their experiences.
'People don't have to read it' is true - but they do, and they will comment.
