Those first few meetings with my Sponsor were a little intense -- his nick name is Big Book Bob -- yes another Bob. His main concern regarding me has always been to mess up the thought in my head than I can drink yet again. He did a fine job with this. I love that old guy and he has been sponsoring me for well over 10 years now. Yes, I did go out and drink a couple of times while he was my Sponsor -- but I broke the rule of calling him first. Could he have talked me out of drinking -- a good chance I think.
I could never repay Old Bob for all of the help and friendship he has offered to me.
Relax and enjoy the one that your Higher Power has put into your life so as to share with.
I'm in today with 3,149 days without a drink.
