I used to feel like that. But as my sober time has been building I've felt more and more that I stay away from my friends and partner once they're past a few drinks because.... THEY are boring. Repeating themselves, talking without listening, grandiose plans that everyone knows (but can't say) that they'll never make any attempt to follow through, and that's all before they get to the know-it-all ranty stage (really, we don't need politicians in the uk.
