I'm glad you posted it, cause I have nothing to hide and I didn't remember exactly what I said. I stand by what I said. Anybody can read about whatever problems they are dealing with, and yes, many times it just verifies what the person already knew, so there's really no growth. I can say this because that's what I experienced. Talking face to face with someone and getting another person's different perspective can be more useful than reading info. in a book. Talking to a professional not only about the problem, but giving the person practical ways of dealing with it on a day to day basis is more useful IMHO, then just getting info. out of a book that just verifies that yes, you have this or that problem and maybe gives you a few generalized ideas about what to do with the problem. People are different and need individualized ways of dealing with it. A book can't do this, but a therapist can. John
